Every year, around 50 million new domain names are being registered and the companies that administer the most sought-after TLDs - .COM, .NET, .ORG, .INFO and .BIZ, have a tendency to increase the registration prices each year by 10%. A huge amount of money is then invested in new hardware so as to handle the millions of new registrations each year.
At ResellersPanel, we do not like to increase our prices because we do not want to compromise your pricing strategy. This is why we didn't join the major price increase initiative, which affected all gTLDs in the beginning of 2012 and we have managed to keep our keep our wholesale prices unchanged up until now, although that has been in conflict with our interests.
However, we are now facing yet another price increase and we can no longer maintain our current prices. Here are the new TLD prices, which will take effect on the 29nd of July:
TLD | WHOLESALE PRICE | MIN. RETAIL PRICE |
.com (current) | $9.00 | $10.00 |
.com (new) | $9.00 | $10.99 |
.net (current) | $9.00 | $10.00 |
.net (new) | $9.00 | $10.99 |
.info (current) | $9.00 | $10.00 |
.info (new) | $9.00 | $10.99 |
.org (current) | $9.00 | $10.00 |
.org (new) | $9.00 | $10.99 |
.biz (current) | $9.00 | $10.00 |
.biz (new) | $9.00 | $10.99 |
The good news is that there are still 2 weeks during which we will keep our current prices. This means that you have a 14-day window to register the TLDs that you want or to renew your existing domains for as many years as you want, taking advantage of the current prices. Also, you can consider opting for a multi-year domain registration or renewal, because this will save you a lot of money in the long run.
