We are happy to inform you that our new File Manager version was successfully updated on all servers in our reseller web hosting network. All clients now have the possibility to manage their web hosting files and folders much easier and user-friendly with the new software tool. We are especially glad to offer to your attention the full pack of new options introduced, giving your more freedom and flexibility in the creating, uploading, organizing and editing of your files and folders:
Create New File/Folder - In this left field you have an opportunity to quickly and easily create new empty files and folders. You can select either option by ticking the corresponding radio button.
Disk Usage - This right top-panel field provides for you helpful information about the current status of your disc usage. You have graphic and numerical display of how much disk space you have utilized and how much remains free.
Quick Links Path - In this new File Manager version you have highly improved navigational options. The history path for example, displayed in the Quick Links Path field of the second-level Quick Navigation Bar, is presented in the form of dynamic 'quick links', providing for you easy access to each sub-level of your current directory.
Quick Host Shortcuts - This handy dropdown enables you to directly select a host from a list containing all your hosted domains and sub domains.
Check boxes - Using the check boxes in the first column of the File Manager's File Listing Panel, you can select multiple files/folders whenever you wish to perform certain actions (Copy, Delete, etc.) for several files/folders at once.
Type Icons - By means of type icons, the second column gives you helpful orientation and quick information about the type (folder/file - text, image, archive etc.) of the document related to the icon.
File/Folder names - Our new File Manager introduces a new approach to the management of your files and folders in the form of intelligent tooltips, providing you with an easy access to all actions that can be performed per selected file/folder:
Actions icons - next to the file/folder names are displayed all action icons available per file/folder. You can quickly select a desired action to be performed for the respective file/folder. Upon left-click of the mouse, each button opens a smart tooltip, presenting full details of the action that is going to be performed.
File Size column - gives information of the size of each file.
Permissions column - shows the current permissions set for each file/folder.
Last Accessed/Last Changed dropdown menu - allows you to switch between both options - 'Last Accessed' and 'Last Changed', upon your desire or need to view the respective class of information displayed in the last column of the File Manager's File Listing Panel.
The two actions toolbars, located up and under the File Listing Panel, contain a convenient set of tools for multiple files/folders editing. You can select a number of files/folders, by means of the check boxes in the first column, and press any of the buttons available - Move, Copy, Delete, Change Permissions, to perform the according action. If you use the option 'Select All' files/folders, the changes you make will affect all files/folders in the current directory. With the newly added 'Reload' button you can reload the File Manager's File Listing Panel without refreshing the whole web page.
With the new File Manager you are able to upload an unlimited number of files, without exceeding however a total size of 20 MB at one time. For your convenience, the file upload boxes in the bottom-level Upload Panel have been organized to appear in an intelligent cohesive order - as soon as you have filled in a box, the next one shows up. The new files upload functionality also supports an option to upload .ZIP, .RAR, .TAR.GZ and .GZ archives with automatic unpack of the files/folders in the current directory. In order to upload archived files/folders, you have to browse and select a desired archive, then check the box that will appear - 'Unpack archive after upload'.
