ResellersPanel is glad to announce that new software is available in the Web Hosting Control Panel now. The software is called .htaccess Generator and its purpose is to allow the creation of some of the most widely used .htaccess file features.
Where is the .htaccess Generator?
The .htaccess Generator is located in the new Elefante Administration Tools section, available in the Web Tools menu. The new section contains also the Hotlink Protection and IP Blocking tools that were taken from the Elefante Marketing Tools section. You can create .htaccess files also by going to the desired location using the Control panel's File Manager and clicking the .htaccess button that is available there.
What's the purpose of the .htaccess Generator?
We developed this tool having in mind that you and your clients need to create .htaccess files. However these files are sometimes not functioning properly due to incorrect parameters. The new generator will create the files properly and thus will save you and your clients the time to contact our Technical Support whenever there are problems of such kind. Of course, we are always ready to assist in case there are any problems with malfunctioning .htaccess files hosted on our reseller web hosting network servers.

How to apply the generated .htaccess code?
Once the form is completed and submitted, the .htaccess code is generated. For your convenience, the code is displayed in a text box so that you may choose whether it would be better to add it to an existing .htaccess file, or to have the file created in the selected location.
