ResellersPanel has just added the .COM.MX domain extension to the list of offered TLDs. The .MX TLD is for Mexico but there are no restrictions for nationality or residence in this country and anyone can order such a domain name. Just like the other TLDs that we have released recently, registrations can be ordered through the Web Hosting Control Panel, however, similar to the most country domain names currently on offer, there are some special features, our web hosting resellers and their clients must be aware of.
Registration Period: .COM.MX domain names can be registered for a period of 2 years only.
Domain Renewal: Renewal must be ordered before the expiration date for a period of 1 year. Expired domain names are being removed from our account with the registrar whose services we are using, and become available for registration about 16 days after the expiration date.
Pre-Configuration: The domain registration interface requires, after submitting the WHOIS information form, to agree with the aforementioned domain renewal requirement.
WHOIS Management: Once registered, the WHOIS information of a .COM.MX domain can not be modified through the web hosting Control Panel. To make changes into this information, the registrant must open a trouble ticket from the Help Center that is available in the Control Panel, and provide us with the desired WHOIS information. The support team will inform the registrant whether the change is approved or rejected by the nicMX registry, upon receiving their response.
WHOIS / ID Protection: This service in unavailable for .COM.MX domain names.
Registrar Change / Transfer: It is possible only to transfer .COM.MX domain names away from us, while transfers to us is not possible.
Our reseller hosting database shows that the .COM.MX extension is very marketable and we believe that it will bring new customers, despite of its relatively high registration fee.
